Impregnation Sealants

IM3000

Wherever sealants are needed worldwide, IM3000 is the product of choice. Among experts it is considered one of the best all-round sealants and is therefore often regarded as the industry standard. IM3000 is certified at leading automotive manufacturers worldwide and sets standards with its excellent product properties:

• Excellent draining and washing properties, particularly for complex shaped and finished components
• Outstanding temperature resistance at continuous temperature exposures from –110 to +200 °C and even up to 250 °C for brief periods
• Highly resistant to petrol, engine oil, hydraulic fluid, gases and aqueous acids

IM3000e

The “e” stands for “enhanced”, as IM3000e is a consistently enhanced development of our best-in-class product IM3000. In this case, the focus is on microporosities:

• Formula with technical properties specifically designed to seal microporosities
• Excellent draining and washing properties, particularly for complex shaped and finished components
• Outstanding temperature resistance (equivalent to IM3000) at continuous temperature exposures from –110 to +200 °C and even up to 250 °C for brief periods
• Highly resistant to petrol, engine oil, hydraulic fluid, gases and aqueous acids

IM4500r

The IMP sealant with built-in sustainability as standard: With IM4500r, IMP has developed a recyclable sealant that enables our customers to respond to the constantly growing demand for environmental protection and resource-friendliness without compromising on quality.

IM4500r can be washed off the surface of the component after the sealing process, recovered and reused for further processing. The only additional requirement is that a certain amount of Wash Bath Additive (WBA) is added to the cold water bath to ensure the chemical stability of the recovered sealant.

When applied, IM4500r ensures outstanding product properties:

• Combined with WBA, excellent washing properties, particularly for complex shaped and finished components
• Outstanding temperature resistance at continuous temperature exposures from –55 to +200 °C and even up to 250 °C for brief periods
• Highly resistant to petrol, engine oil, hydraulic fluid, gases and aqueous acids
• Components sealed with IM4500r can be exposed to the same pressure as densely cast parts

WBA

The aim of leveraging recycling technologies for sealing purposes is to reduce the amount of sealant and water used. For our high-performance product IM4500r, this can be achieved by adding WBA (wash bath additive) to the cold water bath. WBA supports the washing process in a special way and helps to quickly separate the sealant from the water. This reliably ensures a high recovery rate for IM4500r.
